While traveling in India in 2003 I first starting
developing a real interest in yoga. I started my
study in Dharonsala with Himalyayan Iyengar with
Sharat archarya and Vijay archarya learning Ashtanga
for one month.
I went back to India in 2008 to the south (Mysore)
to do a more intensive study with Venkatesha archarya
for 5 months.
In 2009 I decided because of my love of yoga I would
become certified to teach. I completed the 200 hours
Yoga Alliance with Patrick Creelman in Anusara yoga.
From then on I have taught in Seminyak, Indonesia/
Fun Yoga/ The Danshui Farm Collective/ China Youth
Corps & Service/
Grace Yoga and now at the SSSOY.
For me, yoga has not only straightened my spine
and made it stronger, but has made my mind and soul
more balanced and clear. It has helped me develop
more awareness about myself and my mind towards the
outside world. I hope I can help people strengthen
their mind, soul and bodies like it has for me.
I feel that Atma Vikasa and Anusara have had the
biggest influence upon my practice and teaching.
I try to teach my students the importance of chanting,
concentrating on the breath and structural alignment.
Through those practices, my students can unlock their
full potential and have true balance in body and
mind.
